how does photosynthesis occur in chloroplasts to convert light energy into chemical energy?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

photosynthesis has 2 main stages: the light reaction with thykaloids and the Calvin cycle which happens in the stroma of a chloroplast. The light reaction converts light energy to produce NADPH and ATP and in the process splits H2O into O2. The NADPH and ATP from the light reaction go to the Calvin cycle and are here CO2,ATP and NADPH are used to produce G3P( glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate) which is used to make glucose.
