The figure below shows segments AC and EF which intersect at point B. Segment AF is parallel to segment EC. Which of these facts is used to prove that triangle ABF is similar to triangle CBE? Angle AFB is congruent to angle CEB because corresponding angles are congruent. Angle AFB is congruent to angle CEB because corresponding angles are congruent. Line segment AF is congruent to line segment EC because parallel segments are congruent. Line segment AB is congruent to line segment FB because legs of an isosceles triangle are congruent.

choices A and B are out because they're simply not true

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

oh wait, I might have misread, one sec

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

dang, choices A and B are identical...another typo?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

are u fuc.kin serious! wow this is to late to be doin this! grrrr lol

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

grr for sure

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

well one of those choices should have "alternate interior angles" instead of "corresponding angles"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so what do i pick??????:/

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

can I see a screenshot of the choices?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

it's either A or B and I want to make sure that they are actually identical or if there's a very slight difference

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok hold on ill get u a better screenshot!

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

alright thank you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

well I know for sure that C is definitely wrong, D is not useful (and still wrong) So it's up to A and B, which are still identical...so it has to be another guess. I'd take stuff like this up with your teacher so if you miss it, you'll get the points back.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im gust goin to go with A!

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

sounds good
