if we fill a plastic cup with water and make a small hole in the bottom of it, water start leaking, if you cover the open side of the cup with your hand, after a few seconds the water stops leaking. Does anyone know what that happens, and what is the physical principle for that to happens. Thanks in advance

vacuum if i got it right you mean this: |dw:1339553089980:dw| then when you put your hand you whithold pressure so that when certain amount of fluid runs out it creates vacuum or under pressure....
