What is the minimum total energy released when an electron and its antiparticle annihilate each other?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

By definition, particle antiparticle annihilation results in total energy release. Therefore, the minimum energy released would be just their rest masses, which is 2 x 511 MeV.

Sorry, 2 x 511 keV = 1.022 MeV = 1.6 x 10^-13 J
