jsut subtract term by term..
*just
im not sure how i would write my answer?
the aswer will be the same size matrix.
its online & i dont know how i would do the brackets like that and line them up that way..
\[\textbf C=\left[\begin{array}\\7&11\\-15&3\\\end{array}\right]\] \[\textbf D=\left[\begin{array}\\1&0\\4&-\frac{11}{2}\\\end{array}\right]\] \[\textbf {C+D}=\left[\begin{array}\\7+1,&11+0\\-15+4,&3-\frac{11}{2}\\\end{array}\right]\]
hmmm. that is a problem. do they tell you how to write out the entries? maybe row by row or first column then second column?
Unkle... i think its C-D....
bother
no they didnt say how to write it, & when i write it just underneath eachother it doesnt look right
& yeah its C - D haha i know how to do it, i just dont know how to write it
\[\textbf {C-D}=\left[\begin{array}\\7-1,&11-0\\-15-4,&3+\frac{11}{2}\\\end{array}\right]\]
how would i write it like that on my assignment?
C+D=[(6,11),(-19,17/2)] maybe
maybe row by row with each entry separated by commas. at the end of a row, use a semi-colon ";" then start again with the next row... that is at least how i enter it in my calculator....
[(6,11);(-19,17/2)]
i really don't know...:( sorry.
that works, thanks!
