Some viruses must insert their genetic material into the host cell's DNA. This is accomplished thanks to enzymes. The virus benefits from this action by A. acquiring the traits of the host cell. B. changing the host cell into a virus. C. causing the host cell to produce new viruses. D. introducing random deadly mutations into the host cell.

C. causing the host cell to produce new viruses. this is how HIV works. HIV contains RNA which is reverse transcribed into DNA. These DNA is then inserted into host's chromosome so that these integrated RNA will be translated into RNA by host transcription machinery. More RNA made, more new virus. I hope this helps.
