Which type of RNA carries the genetic information from DNA to the site of protein synthesis? a.mrna b.rrna c.trna

OpenStudy (anonymous):

mrna. dna can't move out of nuclear pore because dna is large and the cell will carefully keep its 'master copy' of genetic information in nucleus. Then, how you got your info out? You use mRNA. mRNA means messenger RNA, so mRNA sends info on behalf of dna. It moves out of nucleus after transcription and moves to ribosome for translation. rrna is for formation of ribosome. trna is for bringing amino acid into the ribosome during translation.
