OpenStudy (cwrw238):
notice that 27, 90 and 75 are all divisible by 3
so we can write
3(9x^4 - 30x^2 + 25)
now you can try to factor whats in parentheses
OpenStudy (cwrw238):
we must now look for 4 numbers which are factors of 9 and 25 which give us a product of 25 and when multiplied and added give us the middle number -30
to give factors of the form
(ax^2 + b)(cx^2 + d)
OpenStudy (anonymous):
3(3x^2-5)(3x^2-5)
OpenStudy (anonymous):
is that right?
OpenStudy (cwrw238):
I do this by trial and error - yeah - thats right - why are you asking?!!
