well, start by squaring both sides.
solve for x =-1
so 5=(2x+6) then if I square it? sorry, I'm really bad at these problems.
so 125 = 5^(2x+6) or 5^3 = 5^(2x+6)
sorry 25^2 =/= 125, but rather 625

so it should say 625 = 5^(2x+6) or 5^4 = 5^(2x+6)
Ahhhh, the other way around whoops. So then 625=5^(2x+6) do you then divide by 5?
