well 2 simultaneous equations would fit the bill
eg

x + y = 10
x -  y = 2

you can find the values of x and y by whats called the elimination method

adding 2 equations would eliminate y
to give an equation in x

2x = 12

solve for x

then substitute that x value into either equation to find the y value
