In a circle of radius 10 cm, a sector has an area of 40π sq cm. What is the degree measure of the arc of the sector?

If the radius of the circle is 10, the area is 100 pi. The sector is 40 pi so the sector is 4/10 of the entire circle. Would you agree?

There are 360 degrees in an entire circle so in 4/10 of a circle there are 4/10 X 360 or 144 degrees.
