please help me in the graph of a line, the ratio for the slope indicates the rate of change find the rate of change for each table, equation, or graph. how did you find the rate of change? a. x 2 4 6 b. 5x+3y=-2 y 10 20 30 c. its a graph all draw it

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

you want to find how fast or slow y is changing as x changes, right ? so you need find the ratio of (y2-y1)/(x2-x1) a. 5 b. -5/3 c. ur graph is not clear. apply above formula. is it clear... how slope and rate of change are same ?

a. x 2 4 6 y 10 20 30 sorry dont know why that happend this should of been a

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it should be a table

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

ya.. i understood that... first two are ok only c graph is messy... :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ya all do the graph my self thanks

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

good... come back if you are stuck... it can be confusing... understanding slopes or rates of change. and applying them to word problems can seem tough at start.. Enjoy...
