Question

Identify whether the following statement is true or false.
One strategy that will assist you when taking notes during research is to copy down sentences word for word from your source.

True
False

Answer 1

Instead of writing down word-for-word, paraphrase in your own words and in a form of short-hand you can understand later.

Answer 2

False. You should be writing it in your own words. It's easier to memorise something you've made personal associations with while writing, than copying the words and reasoning of somebody else.
