Mr. Ziegler earns $2000 for every used car he sells and $4000 for every new car he sells. How much would he make if he sold "r" used cars and "s" new cars? 6000rs 2000s + 4000r 2000r + 4000s 8000rs

If he sells "r" used cars, and used cars earn him $2000 each, then he will earn 2000*r from his used car sales. If he sells "s" new cars and new cars earn him $4000 each, he will earn 4000*s from his new car sales. So together, he earns 2000r+4000s in total. Does that make sense?
