OpenStudy (ashking1):

What is the value of the coefficient of "a" when the quadratic equation y = (5x - 2)(2x + 3) is written in standard form?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

just multiply the binomials then compare it with standard form u'll get the answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

alright i multiplied it and i got 10x^2+11x-6 so if you compare it with ax^2+bx+c then u'll get the answer

mathslover (mathslover):

\[y=5x(2x)+5x(3)-2(2x)-2(3)\] \[y=10x^2+15x-4x-6\] \[y=10x^2+11x-6\] a = 10 b = 11 c=-6

OpenStudy (ashking1):

thks
