Just downloaded IDLE and the Terminal program on my Mac won't let me run anything. It says there's a syntax error and points to the 5 in Python 2.5.4. Sorry this questions is so basic, but does anyone know how I run my program?

Never mind. I was saving my IDLE session itself rather than opening the text editor and saving a script. n00b move...

You see, the Python-shell tried to run your script, but it found a syntax error, and the error is from the 5th line in your script, find what's wrong, I think you can just upload your code here so we can help you.
