Hi

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Im having trouble writing and arithmetic sequence.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a, a+d, a+2d,................a + (n-1)d I think so...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so i plug in numbers?

Just make up a formula that dictates what each term of the sequence should be based on their position in the sequence. For example- 4,7,10,13,16........ is a sequence where the general term is 3n+1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a1=2 , a2=5 , a3=8 , a4=11 a2-a1=a3-a2=d d=3

Just for the record, a sequence need not be an arithmetic progression. It can be a geometric , harmonic progression or something that is not any of these.
