I know that option (a.) is correct but why not (d.). Plz help:)

OpenStudy (maheshmeghwal9):

A ball is dropped vertically from a height 'd' above the ground and bounces up vertically to a height 'd/2'. Neglecting subsequent motion & air resistance its velocity 'v' varies with the height 'h' above the ground as: -

@shubhamsrg Plz help:)

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

velocity^2= 2gh (assuming u=0) so velocity vs distance cant be a straight line (option c is ruled out) now from a,b,d..b and d cant be the soln as velocity has to change sign as it collides.. only option a has that..so i guess thats the ans

OpenStudy (maheshmeghwal9):

but what about this|dw:1339670312013:dw| or it should be|dw:1339670355559:dw|
