what is the meaning of leading phase and lagging phase in wave motion ?
lets see... u are in a running race... A is ahead of u... and B is behind you... so u are in the middle... thats the plot... now... refering to you... u can say.."you are leading B, but lagging A"... can't you?.... if u understand this much.. its quite simple... Voltage and current are two main parameters of electricity.... for an Alternating Current... ( load connected to a resistor and an Inductor [ current flow is restricted]), the phasors will not be same... the current will be lagging the voltage phasor....in other way... the voltage leads the current...same way when load is capacitive.... the voltage lags as the capacitor stores the charge at first and then only voltage build up..[this is in reference with current phasor..] in this case... current leads the voltage phasor..... i guess... this helped.... if u have doubts.. you can ask right away... take care..
