how to solve circuits that consist of diode?

OpenStudy (shayaan_mustafa):

If you show the circuit to solve then I will tell you. I don't know what type of circuit consisting of diode you are asking for. There are many circuit which have diodes. Regards, electronics engineer.

OpenStudy (nick67):

You may use a very simple model for the diode: when the diode is under forward bias, substitute the diode with a battery having about 0.6 - 0.7 V in series with a resistor of few ohm (R forward); when the diode is under reverse bias just substitute it with an open circuit

There are variety of methods to model a diode in a circuit depends on how complex your analysis is as nick67 said or you can go for its more complex parameters such as bulk resistance diode capacitance and other temperature effected parameter ... But for now what nick67 was enuf ..
