discribe the difinition of protein synthesis and explain the two main steps of this process

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you need to work on your spelling: describe and definition. anyway.. photosynthesis is the production of proteins in the cell, the two main stages are transcription and translation: transcription is when DNA is changed into mRNA and translation is when mRNA is used to form proteins by tRNA. :)

OpenStudy (blues):

Actually, photosynthesis is the production of carbohydrate molecules from light and CO2. The rest of it is fine, though. :)

OpenStudy (kayne):

I think that @bronzegoddess actually meant protein synthesis...^^ But can we say that DNA is changed into mRNA @blues? Isn't it that it is transcribed into mRNA?

OpenStudy (blues):

@Kayne, plainly I should read closely. Yes - the DNA is used as a template to produce a second strand, this one mRNA. The DNA strand does not become the mRNA. Well caught by moonlight, proud Titania.

OpenStudy (kayne):

^^
