Accuracy is obtaining results very close to the actual answer while precision is obtaining results that are close to each other not close to the answer. This is how I would approach this problem. Take the average of 37.52 mm, 37.54 mm, 37.57 mm and 37.55 mm. average = 37.545 Compare this average to the actual answer. Actual answer = 35.84 mm The average is off of the actual answer by 1.705 mm. However, the average is off the 37.52 mm, 37.54 mm, 37.57 mm and 37.55 mm values by a mere 0.025 mm (compare that to the 1.705 mm). Therefore, these measurements are precise but not accurate.
