35% of what number is 70?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Let that number be \(x\). Then: \(0.35 x = 70\).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Use the formula is/at=%/100

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So 70/?=35%/100

OpenStudy (anonymous):

7000/35 = ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

500?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

200

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh.... pellet...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't see why not use my formula? It's much simpler:\[0.35 x = 70 \text{ implies } x=\frac{70}{.35}=\cdots\]
