a + c − 4b − c + a − b

I'm guessing the question is "Simplify this expression"? Rewrite so that all the variables that are alike are togther, and that the ones that don't have a number in front of them have a 1. 1a + 1a - 4b - 1b + 1c - 1c (notice the signs in front of the variables move with the variables). Now, combine like terms. For example. If I have -4 b's, and I take 1 more b away, how many b's do I have?
