A horizontal line on a velocity-time graph means that the object has no acceleration. A.True B.False

OpenStudy (asnaseer):

if the object was accelerating, its velocity would be increasing with time. if it was decelerating, then its velocity would be decreasing with time. so, if it has no acceleration, then what do you think will happen to its velocity?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well since its not increasing or decreasing with time...i guess its staying to same

OpenStudy (asnaseer):

good - so that would mean its velocity-time graph would be a flat horizontal line as follows: |dw:1339716568538:dw|

OpenStudy (asnaseer):

which shows its velocity remains at the same value for all values of time t

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks..i go with A.True

OpenStudy (asnaseer):

perfect!

:) Thanks very much for the help
