Please Help Write the equation of the line which passes through (5, –2) and is parallel to x = 4.

x=4 is just a vertical line passing through (4,0). So a line parallel to that must be vertical too. There's only one vertical line that goes through (5,-2), and that has to be x=5.

for these problems you use this formula: y – y1 = m(x – x1) however this one is very simple, just find the line that is parallel to x=4, and passes through the x coordinate of (5, -2) which is x=5
