I was curious about something: Are we meant not to get a notification if someone replies to a question we have replied to? I mean sometimes I get a notification and sometimes I don't. I mean it is weird. The number doesn't show on the notification hammer but if you click the notification hammer thing, it will show you that someone has replied.
So, yes, the general logic for this behavior is as follows: 1) When someone replies to a question that you've replied to we create a notification for you. 2) If you're viewing the question, we go ahead and mark it as read. If you're not viewing the question we mark it as unread. Odds are, the times you see it appear in the notification panel without causing the number to appear are times when you already have the question open.
I think it happens after I log back into OpenStudy, but after a refresh it shows my notifications. Thanks.
