looks like a parabola \[y = ax^{2} \] let point (1,33) represent (x,y) solve for a
HOW??!!
plug in 1 for x , and 33 for y --> 33 = a done :)

a=33
yep y = 33x^2 this equation most closely matches the data
now what about the first question...what do they mean by conic section
there are 4 types of conic shapes -parabola -circle -ellipse -hyperbola
