If you draw a card from a deck of 52 well shuffled cards what are the odds against drawing a 2 and what are the odds in favor of drawing a 2?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

there is a 1 out of 13 chances of drawing a 2 i believe

There are 4 cards that can be a 2. So the odds of drawing a 2 would be 4/52, because there are 4 'two's and 52 cards total. Now for the odds against, you just do (52-4)/52 = 48/52. Hope that helps. Post if you need more clarification.

but 4/52 reduces to 1/13
