PFS Fitness bought a treadmill for $700. PFS has a 70% markup on selling price. What is the selling price of the treadmill? (Round your answer to the nearest dollar amount. Omit the "$" sign in your response.)
Take 700 and multiply it by .70 or .7, then add that to 700 and that is your answer. Then just round to the nearest tenth. If you like my response please give me a medal :). Im not allowed to give direct answers though..
1,190 should be the answer..
That was the same answer I came up with, and it said it was wrong??
the one thing im not getting in the message.. Let s = selling price s = $700 + .7s .3s = $700 s = $700 / .3 = $2,333. Check our work .7 * 2333 = 1633 700 + 1633 = 2333 Is where did .3s come from..?
if you minus over .7s shouldn't it be .6s?
and in that answer though i mean maybe its right.. if ur on flvs?.. but i don't see any rounding needed then...?
I agree. I entered the 2333 on my school site and it said it was correct. I don't get it??
Whats flvs???
oh. Its an online course site.. thats what most people on here are doing like me. Like online school. I still don't get how that answer makes sense though :\ lol.
Don't be Confused because when you have .70 percent you always try and see what .70 is out of 100, so, 100-.70= .30 You divide 700/.30=2,333.33
