How do I add an iPad app as part of a reference list in MLA format?

As far as I know there is no official way to do this but I have found two places that give a good template for it. They are both almost exactly the same and it sounds good. 

      
Author. “App Title.” Website Title. Vers. X.X.  Company pub
     lisher  of app.  Date published. App. Date of access.

The second one I found was the same except the website title was not listed.

The best advise I found was to go by what type of app it is.  The one I was trying to work with described itself as a database.  So that is the format I used.  But I do like the one above for the apps that dont fit a category.
