what is the difference between decible and hertz ?

A decible is a measure of the intensity of sound. How loud it is. A hertz is a measure of the frequency of sound. Its pitch. A high frequency note would be like nails on a chalk board, while a low frequency sound would be the report of a cannon.

intensity is related to the amplitude of the wave , the frequency is the number of cycles per second
