Texting shortens words and doesn't use proper puncuation. Like "tht" or "l8r"

Because there is limited space, words are shortened to make room. Also, to save time, capital letters and punctuation are almost non-existent in a text.

In order to save time and fit more words into a message, words were abbreviated. This has become so common that most people text this way. It has become a habit to most people.
