what's one factor of x^3+3x^2+7x+21

the best way is to do this, if you look at first two terms you can write them like this x^2(x+3). OK? then you can write the other two terms like this 7(x+3)...so you see that x+3 appears in both expressions so take it in front, and you'll get (x+3)(x^2+7)
