If you made a circle graph with percentages from this tally table, what label would the segment for Events have? Car:Tally 10 Retail:Tally 13 Tv Shows:Tally 19 Events:Tally 8 A:8 B:16% C:50 D:100%

To calculate percent, divide the amount by the TOTAL. How many tallies are there total? How many tallies does event have?

I'll give you a simple example. In a bag, I have 2 red marbles 3 blue marbles 5 green marbles What percentage of marbles are blue? Well, I need to know how many are blue, and how many there are total. There are 3 blue marbles, and total, there are 2+3+5 = 10 marbles. So, out of 10 marbles, 3 are blue. Now, to calculate that percentage, I just do: \[\large \frac{3}{10} = 0.3\] and then move the decimal place two to the right to get 30%
