OpenStudy (experimentx):

Open Study page crashed all my work gone :(((((( I had been typing really a long answer could you people implement some auto save feature ... or something like that whenever I return to a particular question I regain my work!!

OpenStudy (farmdawgnation):

What, exactly, do you mean by "OS crashed"?

OpenStudy (experimentx):

the page crashed ... particularly all OS sites

OpenStudy (farmdawgnation):

Right. So, there are multiple ways a page can crash. What exactly did you see?

OpenStudy (experimentx):

Aw snap ... page crashed, reload ... something like that!!

OpenStudy (farmdawgnation):

What version of Chrome are you running?

OpenStudy (experimentx):

says "19.0.1084.56 m"

OpenStudy (farmdawgnation):

Ok, so we've been getting reports of crashes under that version of Chrome, but we haven't seen it happen to any of us (and most of us use chrome while we're on the site). What do you see when you go to chrome://crashes/

OpenStudy (experimentx):

sorry ... crash reporting was disabled ...

OpenStudy (farmdawgnation):

Ok, you should be able to turn on crash reporting from that page. You're going to need to do that, and then next time it crashes go back to that page and File a bug with the Chrome team.

OpenStudy (experimentx):

i'll enable it ... i'll enable it and if it crashes i'll report it next time ... although crashes are not that frequent nowdays

OpenStudy (farmdawgnation):

Well it's good to hear they're not that frequent. :) Like I said, none of us have seen the crash happen so we haven't been able to report it yet. Maybe you'll be able to report it and they'll fix it for you. :D

OpenStudy (experimentx):

okay ... well, sure ... :)

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

i think testimonials have autosaves right? how is that possible? maybe it can be applicaple to replies?

OpenStudy (farmdawgnation):

No, the only autosaves that exists are for system restarts. We don't have any way to reliably autosave material if the browser isn't stable (because the save would happen in the browser).
