Could somebody please help me with finding the radius please ? ?
could you post the actual question please ? ?
Radius of what ?
a sphere please ??
\[x^2+y^2 =1\]
@Nancy_Lam , not to nit-pick but that's the equation of a unit circle, meaning it has a fixed radius of 1. You're very close. \[x^2+y^2=radius^2\] For a sphere however it's different altogether because it's 3D: \[(x - h)^2 + (y - j)^2 + (z - k)^2 = radius^2 \] This is with center (h,j,k), which is (0,0,0) if centered on the origin, and (x,y,z) is a point on the surface of the sphere.
Does this help resolve your question @sexygirl12? :-)
|dw:1340047343762:dw|um...?? idk the question is use the formulas below to find the radius of a sphere with the given surface area:
@agentx5 it also helps
\[\huge Area_{suface} = 4\pi r^2\]
but im not sure if that evolves around my answer because im not sure if my answer is right , i got 8inches
.....???
@agentx5 are you there??? :-)
Are you given the area?
yes
@Agent47 said it best, post the question please, the whole question. What are you given? What are you asked to find?
The formulas I gave you will allow you to find the sphere's surface area or radius, or give you the equation for a sphere based on it's center and radius.
