OpenStudy (anonymous):

i got (4a+3)(a-1)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@agentx5 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@phds i saw you viewing do you think you can help??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You are nearly right. You just have the signs of the 3 and 1 the wrong way round.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i get this but Richie your factored numbers are supposed to add up to the middle, so aren't your factors supposed to add up to +1 which is/= a... but 3 and -1=2... ? its not 2a in the middle...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The middle factor comes from 4a x 1 and a x -3 which equals 4a -3a, which equals a.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sorry, I meant the middle term of the original equation...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh i see, nvm, lol. tiered. Yea 4a-3a=a.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah I had to check twice...
