Graph y = (x - 1)2 + 2.

Do you know about vertical shift and horizontal shift?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

not really

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The equation is in vertex form: \[y=a(x-h)^2+k\] Where a is the vertical compression or stretch, h is the horzontal shift and k is the vertical shift. \[y=(x-1)^2+2\] In the equation given the graph is shifted to the right 1 unit and up 2 units.
