What is the slope of the line y = 3? isnt it 0?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3 y=3x

OpenStudy (smarty):

No slope.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes...

OpenStudy (smarty):

In a linear equation, y = mx +b, m is the slope. Since m is not in the problem, and there is no x variable, there is no slope. It is a horizontal line that never rises - no slope.

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

y = 0x + 3 therefore slope is 0 yes ^_^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry no slope

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

"no slopes" only pertain to vertical lines, stuff like x = 3, but this is a horizontal line. So the slope is zero.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry again 0
