terenzreignz (terenzreignz):

If we let x be how much Troy spent in US dollars, and the ratio between the US dollar and the Swiss franc is 1:2.2, then, it should be proportional to x : 20 1:2.2 :: x:20 Can you do it from here?

terenzreignz (terenzreignz):

By the way, the proportion could also be written \[\frac{1}{2.2} = \frac{x}{20}\]

terenzreignz (terenzreignz):

So just find x :)

Tanya wants to order 50 pizzas for a party. However, the pizza supplier can deliver only 45 pizzas on the given date. How will you describe the relationship between demand and supply of pizzas?

terenzreignz (terenzreignz):

Relationship between the <something> and the <some other thing> is basically just screaming RATIO! so all you have to do is get what you want the relationship to be about and put them in the form a : b, and reduce it to lowest term as you would a fraction
