Best way out to improve writing
practice!
but how
what type of writing are you trying to improve?
I've heard multiple professional authors give one simple answer: Read. If you read a lot, then you will mimic the authors that you read in your own writing.
You just practice and read. I usually write about the dreams i had the night before, but you have to make sure that you know what you're writing about. If you write about something that you dont know then it's a lot harder to get the words to fit together.
read,read,read,read... write,write,write,write.......
I think the best way to improve your writing is to write something and critique/proofread it. Then, write something else, and repeat. I would write something, then wait a couple of days before proofreading it, to have a fresh prospective. After you have rewritten it, have someone else look at it for you, to ensure you haven't missed anything. If you write your draft in MS Word, the program will mark things like spelling, punctuation, run-on sentences, passive sentences, etc. It will also grade the readability of your writing. The more errors you find and fix, the easier it will be for you to avoid these mistakes in future writings. MS Word will also sometimes give you a suggestion when a change is needed. This can help you understand wording and grammar, and sentence structure. Good luck! :)
