OpenStudy (anonymous):

The cosine of an angle is defined as the sine of the complementary angle

Parth (parthkohli):

What? no...

Parth (parthkohli):

Cosine = cos = adjacent/hypotenuse

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The length of the adjacent side divided by the length of the hypotenuse is a cosine also

Parth (parthkohli):

It's a trigonometric ratio

OpenStudy (anonymous):

cosine is adjacent over hyptonuse

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I usually use the method :SOH-CAH-TOH to help me figure out which is which but according the the method I just showed you, Cosine starts with a ''c'' so we're looking at the CAH part which mean Cosine =Adjacent over Hypotenuse.
