Find the area of the shaded region. y=5x-=x^2 and y=x i keep getting 5/3. what am i doing wrong

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you verify your equations are correct?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well let me ask this was i supposed to subtract x from 5x or go ahead and find the anti derivative of everything then proceed with the rest of the problem?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this is one of your equations... y=5x-=x^2.... how do you take the antiderivative of that??? please check your equations.... then we may be able to help..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the anti derivative of that is 4x^2/2 - x^3/3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry anti derivative of y= 5x- x^2

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

which shaded region you want to find.. can you pls post the snap

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is your first equation\[y=5x-x^2\]or\[y=5x+x^2\]
