Point A is not contained in plane B. How many lines can be drawn through point a that will be perpendicular to plane B? Please explain.

imagine your table is the plane. pick some point above the table. Imagine a pencil is the line from the table up to the point. make the pencil perfectly up and down (perpendicular). Do you see the pencil (line) is the only line through the point?

all other lines through the point will be slanted (not perpendicular)
