To maintain a 92 percent average, what score does Kari need on her next algebra test if her test scores have been 89 percent, 96 percent, 90 percent, and 85 percent thus far?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

She needs a 92 if the teacher rounds up the decimal. If not, a 93 will give her a little over a 92 average.

OpenStudy (smarty):

Can you please show how you got that? Did you just add the test scores + x and then divide it by 6 = 92?

Im sorry. I actually made a mistake. I didnt see the 4th score. I found her average which is 90. We know for her to maintain a 92 she needs higher so while im fixing my error she would need a 94. Sorry !
