Polar Company has designed an ice block in the shape of a cube. The volume of the cube is 15 625 cm3. Which of the following dimensions is the smallest opening of an ice dispenser that will accommodate length AB?

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

find the value of \[l = \sqrt[3]{15625}\] as the volume of the cube is \[V = l^2 \]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i got 25

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

thats correct...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but the answer is 45

OpenStudy (anonymous):

25 cm is the length of one side, yes, but that doesn't explain what AB means. If it means just the longest width of a cube spun around any way, then that would be through opposite cube corners. That roughly calculated would be 43.30.
