Ascidians are sac-like marine invertebrates. Their larvae have well-developed brains and dorsal nerve cords. This suggests that ascidians should be classified with the A. annelids. B. sponges. C. chordates. D. cnidarians.

Ascidians are commonly called sea squirts, and unlike sponges have spinal nerve cords in the larvae form. So cancel out B right away. If you recall the phylum that has dorsal (back) nerve cords in it... Hint: "Cord" \( \rightarrow \) "Chord" I just realized, you've never given out a medal to anybody who has answered your questions... :-( I recall you saying you're behind a firewall to where you can't look up this stuff on your own, but wow never? Why?
