Help with graphing inequalities?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (da_scienceman):

solve the inequality as a normal equation and shade the required region

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ITS THIRD INEQUALITY

OpenStudy (anonymous):

YES OR NO?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

should i explain/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah explain please ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

see we check from options

OpenStudy (anonymous):

in first inequality we have two equations removing the greater than sign ,we get y=-2x+3 y=x+3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

now y=-2x+3 is passing through (0,3) and (3/2,0) but we notice taht the graph does not pass through (3/2,0) so these set of equation sor first inequality is rejected

OpenStudy (anonymous):

right?????

OpenStudy (anonymous):

getting me?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, so it is the third answer choice?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes because y=-3x+2 passes through (0,2) and (2/3,0) and y=-x+2 passes through (0,2) and (2,0) and see the graph is passing through these four points

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks ! :D
