use the elimination method to solve the given system of equations.write your answer as an ordered pair (x,y). -2x+y=2 3x+2y=-3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

multiply first equation by -2 add it to second \[4x-2y=-4\] \[3x+2y=-3\] \[7x=-7\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you should then get \[x=-1\] and replace \(x\) by \(-1\) in either equation to get \(y\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

in fact i believe you get \(y=0\) so solution is \((-1,0)\) or \(x=-1,y=0\)
